High-risk breast cancer

The FAPILOUS study focuses on testing a more accurate method of evaluating cancer spread in women who have been diagnosed with high-risk breast cancer.

“We are planning on using a novel scanning technology, FAPI-PET/CT, to determine if it can yield more precise data than existing methodologies. Our objective is to strengthen physicians’ decision-making processes regarding treatment options, thereby minimising the need for unnecessary and invasive procedures among patients,” says Malene Grubbe Hildebrandt, Clinical Professor and Research Manager, Odense University Hospital, Department of Nuclear Medicine.
