Energy model for heat pump

Tilde Lyngsø Rye, Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering, Aarhus University, takes second place in the Vissing Foundation’s Energy Prize 2021 for the dissertation Decarbonisation of the electricity, heating and transport sector on Samsø.

Tilde Lyngsø Rye used an energy model for Samsø to assess climate and financial impacts of installing a heat pump at a district heating plant. Tilde Lyngsø Rye also conducted an interesting study of the synergies of an integrated energy system across sectors from a climate perspective.
