The Vissing Foundation is now the main sponsor of Venture Cup Denmark which is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship at universities in Denmark.

”With the Vissing Foundation’s sponsorship we are able to intensify our entrepreneurial efforts and focus especially on energy-focused startups. We are sincerely looking forward to working with the Foundation,” says Morten Uglevig Andersen, CEO, Venture Cup Denmark.

Venture Cup Denmark is a non-profit association spanning the universities in Denmark. The association organizes and manages annual competitions and supports other relevant activities. The objective is to promote growth-based entrepreneurship and commercialization of research results in Denmark.

“By sponsoring Venture Cup Denmark we gain an opportunity to support one of the Foundation’s focal points which is research into sustainable energy. In parallel with this we help support startups – especially in the energy sector. It is important for the entrepreneurs to actually feel external support and it is important for us since they are the pioneers of the energy progress of the future,” says Hans-Henrik Eriksen, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vissing Foundation.
