MARGINALISED CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

An activity area to develop children

Nordstjernen is a specialised residential and relief accommodation in Struer for children and young people aged 0-18 with special needs and/or significant and permanent, reduced functional capacity.

“The funding from the Vissing Foundation contributes to allowing us to establish an acoustic activity area which provides the children with stimuli to develop them mentally, physically and socially,” says Susan Gyldendorf, Nordstjernen, parent representative.

An impact-resistant surface makes sure that the children – who often walk unsteadily and who use walking aids or wheelchairs – can use the area safely.
