Using bacteria in wastewater treatment

The Vissing Foundation is supporting a project at Clean Carbon. It involves developing innovative solutions for wastewater using cyanobacteria to capture CO₂, recover phosphor and optimise energy utilisation. The project will scale growth trials and convert biomass to biochar by pyrolysis, thus recovering energy.

By ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and obtaining CO₂ certification, Clean Carbon is working to promote circular solutions that reduce energy consumption and create value from resources in refuse.

Clean Carbon collaborates with leading laboratories and industrial partners to purify wastewater, recover phosphor and maximise energy utilisation.
