Summer holiday help for vulnerable families

The local Mødrehjælpen association in Skive has received a grant from the Vissing Foundation to provide help for summer holidays for children and young people in vulnerable families in Skive Municipality.

“We are delighted that the Vissing Foundation is supporting us in giving vulnerable children and young people a summer outing. With the grant we can ensure that more families have a chance to create happy memories together in the summer holiday,” explains the chairman of the local association, Lone Rahn Heskjær.

The summer holiday help consists of entry tickets to Jesperhus Flower Park and a gift voucher for DKK 200 per person for food and fun during the visit. The aim is to give financially pressed families a chance to have fun together and create happy memories of the summer holiday.

“The grant gives families with a tight economy a chance to go on an outing together, which would otherwise be difficult to prioritise. It means more children and young people can have a summer holiday with happy memories and good company – without worrying about preventive costs,” says Lone Rahn Heskjær.
