MARGINALISED CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Sports festival for vulnerable children and young people

Street Society Summer Cup 2025 is an inclusive sports festival taking place in Copenhagen in the summer of 2025. The purpose of the Summer Cup is to create positive communities for 250 to 300 children and young people (aged 8 to 17) from disadvantaged neighbourhoods. We offer an active, fun and meaningful summer activity where everyone can participate across social and cultural backgrounds.

“We want to give participants a strong sense of community, fair play and physical activity while strengthening their well-being, social skills and motivation for an active leisure life. The event is free of charge for the children and takes place in a safe environment led by our experienced coaches and volunteers,” says Réda M’Barek, project manager and co-founder of Street Society.

The many activities include: Street football tournaments for boys and girls, Panna and technique competitions, street basketball, artistic workshops such as graffiti and creative workshops, healthy snack zone with a focus on well-being and health, networking opportunities and an introduction to Street Society’s weekly activities.

“The support from the Vissing Foundation enables us to offer a free, professional and inclusive event for children and young people who are in great need of positive experiences during the summer holidays,” says Réda M’Barek.
