“The Vissing Foundation’s support makes an enormous difference. It pays for presents for 160 children and young people (from babies to age 18) from economically disadvantaged families in Skive Municipality,” says Camilla Sevested from the Bizz Up in Skive organisation.
The Vissing Foundation has supported Bizz Up previously with money for Christmas presents, and employees from Vikan, which is owned by the Vissing Foundation, help to wrap the presents for the young people in the Skive area who can look forward to an extra present.
Bizz Up works with the Health Services, the Family Centre, the After School centre, Volunteer Centre Skive and the Work & Training department in Skive Municipality, to ensure that the gifts go to those who need them most.
“Christmas should be a really happy time for everyone, and especially the children, who look forward to it so much. But it simply doesn’t work out if the family economy is so tight that they don’t know how they will be able to afford presents. That is why the support of the Vissing Foundation is so important,” says Camilla Sevelsted.
The Bizz Up Help at Christmas project was started in 2022. The target for 2025 is to collect enough for 600 presents for children or young people. Last year the organisation raised funds for 500 Christmas presents.
