A helping hand at Christmas

Christmas is a time of expectations, togetherness and traditions. But for families with a tight economy, December can also mean worries and missing out. When there is no money for Christmas food or gifts, children feel left out.

“With the help of the Vissing Foundation, Church Integration Ministries (KIT) can distribute Christmas hampers and supermarket gift vouchers to needy families with children across Denmark. This help enables families to plan a secure Christmas with dignity, so the children can be part of the community on an equal footing with their classmates,” says Ruben Holmgreen Falk from KIT.

KIT’s help at Christmas targets families with children under the age of 18 living at home, and it is distributed through KIT’s local partners, who know the families’ situations. In that way help reaches those who need it most, and makes a real difference where it means a lot.
